VVB has implemented and maintained a quality assurance system for many years and is committed to a totally integrated Quality Assurance Management Programme which ensures consistent design, installation, commissioning and `through-life’ support functions are performed at every level.

The high calibre of our approved electrical and mechanical technicians has allowed us to carry out installations to the highest standards. Whether working within the main contractor QA system or VVB’s QA System.

To ensure close control over our business processes and promote best practice throughout the company, VVB has developed a systematic approach based upon the guidance to management standards in ISO 9004:2008; this is based upon eight quality management principles.

VVB Engineering has been independently audited and certified as meeting the requirements of standard ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System and additionally the National Highways Sector Scheme 8 (NHSS-8) and the National Highways Sector Scheme 22 (NHSS-22). The scope of certification covers mechanical and electrical engineering incorporating the requirements of National Highways Sector Scheme 8 for the overseeing and/or installation and/or maintenance of highway electrical equipment and associated works for the categories of; communication equipment, cameras, lighting columns and post installations, lighting and illuminated traffic signs. The certification also covers the scope of the National Highways Sector Scheme 22, For the Management, Operation, Installation and Maintenance of Road Tunnels specifically.


VVB is certificated to the international environmental management system ISO 14001:2004 (UKAS), achieving recognition in April 2010.

Health and Safety

Having operated to the highest levels of health and safety for many years, VVB have worked to achieve accreditation to (UKAS) OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.

In addition, as part of our continual improvement process, we are presently coordinating and aligning all three management systems into one seamless integrated management system.
