1. Purchasing Manager (Essex based)

* Manage the buying resource for the Project

*Ensure that all relevant purchasing strategies are being delivered through the day to day actions of the project purchasing team.

*Undertake key governance aspects associated to Project Purchasing management

–Procurement Strategy review and approval
–Purchase Pre and Post activities
–PO approval
–Monthly reviews

*Provide a focal point for escalated issues

*Ensure required purchasing documentation is produced and approved at the appropriate levels

*Record and report savings in accordance with established guidelines

*Manage and contribute to the capture and sharing of all information and lessons learned to ensure that these are understood from one Project to the next.

*Manage the Purchasing team to execute all purchasing aspects of Projects

*Engage and communicate efficiently with internal customers and other functions as necessary in executing Project activities

*Leverage the synergies across the Project.

*Ensure that the Purchasing Schedule is developed for the Project.

*Maintain an ethical approach to tasks and relationships in accordance with relevant    VVB policies

*In conjuncture with the Procurement Manager, conduct regular review meetings with Project/ Commercial Managers to ensure expected performance levels on each works package are being achieved, to review ongoing activities and to review and approve appropriate documentation

 

2.Falklands Project Buyer

*Ensure that all relevant purchasing requisitions are being delivered through the day to day actions of the project team

*Ensure that key governance aspects are adhered to for Procurement processes and procedure

*Ensure required purchasing documentation is produced and approved at the appropriate levels

*Record and report savings in accordance with established guidelines

*Contribute to the capture and sharing of all information and lessons learned to ensure that these are understood from one Project to the next.

*Undertake all purchasing aspects for the Project

*Engage and communicate efficiently with internal customers and other functions as necessary in executing Project activities

*Leverage the synergies across the Project.

*Ensure that the Purchasing Schedule is developed for the Project.

*Maintain an ethical approach to tasks and relationships in accordance with relevant VVB policies

*In conjuncture with the Procurement Manager, conduct regular review meetings with the Project Managers to ensure expected performance levels on each works package are being achieved, to review ongoing activities and to review and approve appropriate documentation
