Resourcing Assistant (J21) 

Full-time, Permanent (Chelmsford) 

£20,000 to £25,000 per annum

The opportunity has arisen for a Resourcing Assistant to join our HR team, to report directly into the Resourcing and Emerging Talent Manager, to support with the delivery of robust resourcing plans. This position will be responsible for all administrative elements of recruitment and selection processes. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Support with the management of blue-collar recruitment processes
  • Utilise internal and external job advertisement sites to attract talent
  • Monitor the use of temporary workers to ensure effective deployment and minimise costs
  • Monitor and manage the recruitment inbox
  • Manage multiple recruitment campaigns
  • Liaison with agencies and 3rd party providers on resourcing requests
  • Liaise with candidates on availability and interview arrangements, creating a positive candidate journey
  • Shortlist CVs and applications

What we’re looking for: 

  • Knowledge of recruitment best practices
  • Strong administrational skills
  • Knowledge of ATS/CMS systems
  • Educated to GSCE level, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels in the business
  • Previous experience within a recruitment/resourcing position
  • Experience within the engineering and/or construction industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a flexible approach to changing demands of the business

Project Cost Controller (J12)

Full-time, Permanent, (Rainham – with occasional travel to sites)

£45,000 to £50,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting a Project Cost Controller working within the Commercial Finance department. Reporting into the Commercial Financial Controller and working alongside the Project team, you will be responsible for managing the financial performance of individual projects. You will support Management by providing reports and producing accurate forecasting and cash flow data.

The position:

  • Work with the Project teams to ensure the understanding of the specifics of the project plans and contract
  • Ensure all necessary interfaces and processes are adhered to, including the application procedure, and provide all supporting calculations and documentation to the client
  • Manage workload effectively to meet the business and finance deadlines set
  • Control and challenge procurement and/or sub-contractor costs and investigate variances between forecasted and budgeted costs.
  • Liaise with the Client/PM to resolve overdue applications, certifications and payments
  • Liaise with the Finance function to provide information to support journal entries, to capture late costs, provisions and revenue recognition
  • Communicate with the Project teams, ensuring all reports are accurately reflecting the operational and financial status of the projects
  • Collate and compile project financial reports and monthly and weekly cashflow forecast information to present to the Finance and Management teams

What we’re looking for:

  • CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • GCSE level educated, with A-C grades in English and Maths
  • Three to five years finance experience
  • Previous experience in a similar job role
  • Adept in using MS Office programmes including Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Knowledge of financial processes including forecasting and cash flow
  • Comfortable working in a site-based environment
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills with the ability to manage deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the business and non-financial personnel
  • Excellent attention to detail

Group Management Accountant (J11)

Full-time, Permanent (Chelmsford)

£36,000 to £43,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a Group Management Accountant to assist in the delivery of timely and accurate financial information. This key position in the finance department will give exposure to all functions within finance couple with coaching from the finance leadership team, we will support you to reach fully qualified status with development opportunities

Key responsibilities:

  • Position of month end journals
  • Production of the management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • VAT, CIS and CITB return submissions
  • Production of accurate cash flows
  • Assist with the annual year-end audit
  • Assist with the production of year-end statutory accounts
  • Improvement of existing processes and procedures

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong Excel skills and adept with other MS Office programmes
  • Strong understanding of debits and credits
  • Part-Qualified (ACCA/CIMA), with final papers approaching
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to spot opportunities to improve processes
  • Two years’ experience within a finance function

TBM Electrician (J19)

Full-Time, Permanent (London)

From £320 to £460.80 per day

We are currently recruiting a number of Electricians with tunnelling experience for one of London’s largest ever infrastructure and tunnelling projects. As a TBM Electrician you will be working implementing and maintaining the Electrical distribution systems above and below ground.

The position:

  • Carrying out preventative maintenance on tunnelling plant and equipment
  • Carrying out unplanned maintenance and repairs on tunnelling plant and equipment
  • Undertake installation of tunnelling electrical services
  • HV Switching and Testing
  • Provide on-going surface installations as and when required

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience of tunnel boring electrical works/TBM
  • Excellent Health and Safety knowledge
  • CSCS Card
  • ECS Card
  • Safety Critical Medical
  • JIB Gold Card
  • Ideally a First Aider
  • HV experience
